If a resident’s directory of North Palm Beach existed, portions of it may read like a “Who’s Who” of Golf since the region boasts the highest concentration of PGA players in the world. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal quipped, “You can’t throw a rock in Jupiter without hitting a world-class golfer.”
That’s hardly surprising considering the concentration of prestigious private golf clubs, impressive public courses and of course, the Fore Bearer of Golf in the US, the championship courses of PGA National Resort & Spa. The five PGA courses are among Florida’s best with The Champions Course, home of The Bear Trap and Honda Classic, hailed as the most challenging course in the State by the PGA Tour.
“The Bear” himself, Jack Nicklaus, has a home in Lost Tree just north of Singer Island. In nearby Jupiter, The Bear’s Club is the fulfillment of a life-long dream of Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara, to develop a world-class golf and social club community. Many current and former PGA golfers belong to The Bear’s Club. Other favorite clubs in North Palm Beach among the golfing elite are The Medalist and Dye Preserve, both with over 20 PGA and LPGA players on their membership rosters.
Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIIroy and Tiger Woods, each ranked as one of the top golfers in the world, are among the 28+ players on the PGA Tour who live along a 20-mile stretch north of Palm Beach. But there’s an even greater concentration of golfers who call The Palm Beaches home among former PGA Tour players and young golfers aspiring to make the Tour. In addition to Nicklaus, Golf Hall-of-Famers Greg Norman, Gary Player and Nick Price all live in the area as do many women on the LPGA Tour. Where there are great golfers there’s a thriving golfing community. North Palm Beach, Florida is arguably the finest of them all.
As the “Golf Capital of the World,” The Palm Beaches attract more than pros. Celebrities and politicians travel to The Palm Beaches with golf being a major draw. Trump Properties owns two clubs in the area, Trump National Golf Club Jupiter and Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
Located among these magnificent golf courses, just mere steps from many, is Kolter Urban’s new oceanfront tower, 5000 North Ocean. The 19-story tropical modern design has been thoughtfully planned to take full advantage of the 4.5-acre development site and its 330 ft. of direct Palm Beach oceanfront. The contemporary designed entry maximizes resident privacy by incorporating the native landscape into arrival experience, and residents enjoy more than an acre of private beachside, naturally landscaped gardens. 5000 North Ocean enjoys extremely wide view corridors to both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by beautiful wetlands and natural areas.
