The Palm Beach waterfront continues its transformation with two new additions to the Riviera Beach Marina Village. Fast-growing Nautical Ventures Group is beefing up its presence in Palm Beach County, and a thriving Jupiter green market is expanding its operations to the Palm Beaches’ newest marina village. Both are welcome additions to the neighborhood, offering convenient services for the residents of Singer Island.
Nautical Ventures Riviera Beach store at 1501 Broadway follows the opening of another superstore at Northlake Marina in North Palm Beach in the fall 2015. Nautical Ventures said its decision to open the Riviera Beach store was fueled by expansion work at the nearby Riviera Beach Marina and Rybovich Yachting Center.
“Our proximity to the new Riviera Beach Marina and Rybovich will provide area yards and captains with a convenient supplier for yacht tenders and service, especially through our partnership with Novurania and our extensive tender inventory,” said Roger Moore, company CEO, in announcing the new location.
For those with their feet firmly planted on land, the Riviera Beach Marina Village just got better with the debut of the year-round Green & Artisan Market.
“We hope this market does what other markets have done for other cities, for people to visit, shop and create that destination property.” There are plans to develop the first permanent public market in Riviera Beach, Brown said. “We’re excitedâ¦.the crowd exceeded our expectations and it really become the foray for our permanent public market,” said Tony Brown, executive director of Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.
Future county plans include two buildings that combined will include more than 75,000 square feet of indoor space, waterfront restaurants, a four-level parking garage and more than 100 vendors offering fresh and prepared foods.
The new green market will be open on Saturdays, and it is the sister market to the Jupiter Green & Artisan Market that is open Sundays. Both are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are organized by Harry Welsh, owner of Harry’s Markets.
“I had developed a great relationship with my vendors who are offering great products/services and we all agreed that we could expand our effort established at Jupiter,” Welsh said. “The marina village project location seemed like a great fit. The Riviera Beach CRA, city, O’Donnell Agency and the market vendors have all helped to make it happen.”
The Riviera Beach market, which will continue to be open Saturdays, offering fruits, vegetables, specialty foods, local artisan crafts, jewelry and more. Randy Mescher, owner of Caribbean Plant Services, was busy maintaining his booth during the Green Market at Riviera Beach Marina Village this past Saturday. Florida’s Finest Raw Honey was also on hand offering honey and pollen products, and Off The Hook Seafood was selling white and pink shrimp.
The Riviera Beach showroom of Nautical Ventures will focus mainly on boat and tender sales and will offer several new boat brands not currently available at the Dania and North Palm Beach locations. Nautical Ventures will also provide servicing for boats and operate a kiosk for kayak and standup paddle board rentals to cater to water sports enthusiasts headed to the popular boating destination Peanut Island.
On Singer Island, Kolter Urban recently introduced 5000 North Ocean. The 19-story luxury condominium is the company’s first offering on Singer Island. The tower will feature unique tropical modern architecture, distinguishing itself from Kolter’s Water Club North Palm Beach which is nearing construction completion on the west side of the Intracoastal. 5000 North Ocean’s island address is gaining attention from year-round residents and seasonal visitors alike who recognize the scarcity of new oceanfront construction. The contemporary interior design, expansive floorplans and rich amenities offering are on display at the community’s oceanfront Sales Gallery on Singer Island. The residences are priced from $2 million.
